Astrology for February 2026

Welcome to my monthly musings where I cover what is happening in astrology for the month and how you can live in alignment with the stars.

We started 2026 with a deep concentration of Capricorn energy. Capricorn is The Wise Elder of the zodiac and gave us an opportunity to turn inwards and listen to our inner wisdom for making long-term plans.

Capricorn season and the Capricorn new moon was an ample time to focus intentions around securing a solid foundation before you build your future.

I’m not sure about you, but one of my continued goals entering 2026 is to embrace slowness.

Capricorn as the wise elder is for teaching us to slow down. While this sign is able to climb to the top of any mountain, but they can’t be rushed to get there. It’s about being slow and steady in the pursuit of goals and life.

February is a huge spiritual shift.

We are adjusting to a once-in-a-lifetime planet movement with Neptune having just moved into Aries to end January. This is a major spiritual upheaval for all of us.

We were in a comfort zone with rose coloured-glasses and now any illusions we had will melt away from independent fire sign Aries.

We start to feel into the emotional landscape of our lives more as the energy of Pisces deepens as February progresses. Pisces being the sign of the mystic, but also the sign most known for compassion. Compassion is a beautiful trait.

It’s helpful to review the month ahead with the stars to help make plans. Know where you can focus your energy.

February 2026 Astrology Transits

The Sun in Aquarius

When: from January until 19 February at 2:51 AM (AEDT)

What to expect: February opens and the Sun will be in Aquarius, about midway through Aquarius Season. This is the air sign ruled by Uranus and Saturn. The sun’s journey through Aquarius is our opportunity for innovation, challenging your ideas and hope.

Leo Full Moon

When: 2 February 2026 at 9:09 AM (AEDT)

What to expect: The Moon reaches full illumination in the sign that is ruled by the Sun. This is a full moon to be playful, manifest joy and work on a creative project. You can read all about the Full Moon in Leo in my other post.

Saturn Enters Aries

When: 14 February 11:12 AM (AEDT)

What to expect: Not your typical Valentine’s Day! Saturn, the planet of boundaries, work and long-term focus moves into fast-moving Aries this February. Saturn does not like to be rushed, and Aries does not like to be slowed down. In ancient astrology, Saturn was considered to be in its “fall” when in Aries.

This isn’t a smooth location for Saturn, so it will be important for us to all ground. To consciously slow down. To not let the speed of Aries try and rush along our work or progress.

Sun in Pisces

When: 19 February at 2:52 AM (AEDT)

What to expect: This is when Pisces Season commences, one of my favourite solar seasons! I love the ethereal and dreamy Pisces energy that we get to experience. Pisces is a kind water sign that is ruled by Neptune (modern) and Jupiter (traditional). Pisces Season is a beautiful time to focus on your spiritual practice, meditation or another soul-led ritual, relationships and your emotions.

Pisces is the sign of the fish, and I like to consider the sign of the mermaid. You might like to display shells, amethyst and lovely dream state Pisces symbols. The tarot card associated with Pisces is The Moon card and you could gift yourself this dreamy luna edition tarot deck.
