Exploring Aries

I’ll open this post with a little humorous warning, never tell an Aries they can’t do something! There is a reality to this, Aries does not want your permission. We can learn from Aries that other people's opinions of you are none of your business.

This post is all about the energetic Aries. The first sign of the zodiac. The ones who have the courage to start is all so we can follow.

Aries represents new life, new beginnings the essence of excitement when starting something new. Aries embodies joyful enthusiasm about a new journey ahead.

At the end of the day, Aries will express differently depending on what planets (if any) one has in Aries. Most of us will know an Aries for their Sun Sign (Star Sign) in which instance Aries traits will very much be apart of their personality.

Aries Traits and Energy

There is a directness to Aries that some may not appreciate and could even consider low expression. This directness enables Aries to let us all now where we stand and is helpful if we are wanting to take action.

There are many traits of Aries that some may consider a strength such as feistiness or honesty. These could blur into a lower expression if left unchecked. The poison is in the dose with this spirited fire sign.

Aries is one of the three fire signs.

Aries is the life force, there is a will for conquest in the path they choose.

Modality

Aries is a cardinal sign.

In astrology, cardinal signs represent beginnings, fresh starts, and change, while fire signs represent enthusiasm, impulse and energy.

Combining Aries modality and element, we have a cardinal fire sign.

This gift Aries as the most trailblazing sign of the zodiac and makes so much sense why this sign is the first sign, they are happy to blaze their own path.

Ruling Planet

Aries is ruled by the planet Mars. Mars gives Aries the fight they have for what they want, it’s making sure that Aries doesn’t pick an unnecessary battle.

Mars gives Aries their will to take action.

Symbol

The symbol for Aries is the ram.

Aries is direct and honest, just like the ram. A ram is a powerful and strong creature, not a sweet little baby lamb. The Ram won’t be deterred, he won’t yield. Head down, the ram will charge when needed.

Glyph

The glyph for Aries is now considered to be the horns of a ram.

Polarity

Libra is the polarity sign to Aries. On the zodiac wheel Libra is always opposite. So when we have an Aries Full Moon we know that the Sun is in Libra and vice versa. When the North Node is in Aries, we know that the South Node is in Libra.

Aries and Libra are two opposing sides that form a union.

Aries is the independent sign about “me” and Libra is the sign of relationships about “we”.

At the end of the day, the energies of these two signs serve as remedies for one another. If Aries has aggression becoming unchecked, they can lean on Libra’s serenity.

There is confidence, leadership and a strong-will all rolled into one card.
